Mahavira is depicted in this brass sculpture with his hands clasped together in a meditative pose. Tirthankaras typically have a diamond shape on their bare chest. Above him is a palanquin adorned with devotee figures, including two elephants. Surrounding Mahavira is his forefathers, the 23 Tirthankaras who have come before him, all seated in meditation.
